DIVAS REPORT
Yay a win a win. That’s put us even with our male team members with the teams now all sitting at one win each. Thanks to the ladies who bought and brought the angel wings to the game for players to wear in commiseration of Angel playing her last game for the Divas this season. Angel you will be sorely missed. The day was a little crappy but better than last week. And in the end the weather was just right. We were the only 1pm game at Maidstone Park so we stole the skin. The only thing was Totara Park let us down and didn’t turn up to umpire. However, long time friend Mere Thompson was on the bleachers and agreed to umpire. She did an outstanding job although Annie and Brooke may disagree falling victim to the high outside strike 3. So the Demon Divas won 11-2 against HV Marist playing against Claire Nesus (former Diva last year). Next time we play them with no umpiring duties we will host them at the clubrooms. Will give you lots of notice to bring a plate.
Demon Diva of the Day was Angel Abaddon Ngapera for three times home and once left on bag. Followed closely by Lushy who pitched an absolutely awesome game.
LEGION REPORT
Well on a misty cloudy day the Legion mustered down in Naenae for a matchup against the Hutt city Army team. Quite a few of the boys away left us a bit shorthanded but with some assistance from whanau and Demon Brood we were able t ofield 9 players. The field was slippery as hell (should have made it easier for us right!) and the army boys were spending alot of time on the ground in the field. Our boys were on fire with the bat with a number of home runs made including 3 by Joss and a couple by his brother NoJ. Pitching was sharp again this week and Joss managed to sit alot of batters down. Highlight of the game was a triple play, catch by Danel in the outfield - thrown to 2nd then to 1st to have the two runners out.
Demon of the Day was NEW DEMON Joss Sitri Stewart for three homeruns and top pitching effort.

DIVAS REPORT
Well another loss but not as bad as last time so it’s got to be an improvement. The weather was crap and those that weren’t dressed up as an Eskimo suffered from the cold wind and rain. We had a couple of injuries but with only one reserve Ali stayed on and played with a pulled back so that Rachael could mend her pulled hammies. Although we only lost to Dodger Divas 4-3 at our Anniversary tournament, Saturday’s game was a different story going down 17-6.
Demon of the Day went to Angel with some lovely plays at short stop and then finishing off as pitcher.
I also want to thank Carl Heydon for scoring for us in the wind and rain.
BROOD REPORT
Local club derby Demons Brood vs Totara Park. Upper Hutt provided one of its special shit weather days, and judging from the txt's i received many of the boys were surprised we were still playing. However the weather turned good late allowed us to start our match. Thanks to everyone for showing up on time , it was good to see Marbus back after being AWOL for most of last season, The conditions were pretty average, with huge lake around the home plate (no sliding home today!). Totara Park arrived with a player short so Baemon took up the challenge to fill in for the opposition and in his mind was there best player. The Brood were put into bat first and got off to a great start start scoring 5 runs in our first at bat. Rofacale on the mound to start with this time, limited the TP men to just a couple runs. As the game progressed a few errors and a slow scoring rate by the Brood the TP men caught up and the score got as close at 7-5 in third innings. Marbus jumped on the mound and fired in two solid innings an keep the game tight before the Brood pulled finger and belted in 5, with final score ending 12-7. In all a very good enjoyable game, lots of good plays, and the usual standard errors the Brood are famous for. Definitely something we will sort out in training (yeah right). Batting was much better from previous week with everyone getting some good contact on the ball
Demon ofthe Day went to Jezebeth (Aka little Jimmy). While he proved his worth by Batting 1000, he wasnt helped by his following batters, getting runout on the way to second almost everytime.
LEGION REPORT
After a strong game the week before against Giants we faced up to the Wainui softball team. After initial reset of diamond after requesting Shane from Wainui do a quick measure we were under way. Two runs scored in the first innings by us was a great start. Joss pithced up a storm and we were back into bat again. We put 3 more runs on then let in a few to be 5 -3 up. Then Wainui took over the batting and managed to find a way to hit the ball so it would have both fielders unable to get a ball between them. We ended up going down 8 - 6. Great game by all and memorable moment was when James Swindells took an out at third with the fulla sliding in whilst wearing the catcher leggings (no sliding in pressies guys) - either way James took the out and we carried on from there.
Demon of the Day went to new demon James Swindells. Plenty of fielding at third and took alot of forced outs and also performed valiantly with the bat even striking a hit to a ball way to high to hit.

Demons Men vs Giants
The men went out and played a strong game against the Giants.
Tied up 2 - 2 at the end of the time limit we went and played a tie breaker and came out on top 8 - 5.
Demon of the Day went to Rob Rofocale Gerraty for some sharp fielding and a bloody mean automatic homerun.
Demon Divas vs Giants
The ladies were absolutely destroyed by 21 -6 by a strong Giants team. The three week break paid its toll on the rusty old wenches.
Demon of the day went to Malissa Tiraha whom is now to be known as Melchom.

The men went out and lost to a strong Wainui League 2 - 9.
Demon of the Day went to Matt Mantus Dodd for some sharp fielding.
Demon Divas vs Hutt City
The ladies killed the opposition with a huge 15 - 0 win over Hutt City.
Demon of the day went to Katie Kasdeya Petengell.

Demons Men vs Hutt City Bedrocks
The men went out and laid the smackdown on Bedrocks beating them 18 - 1.
Demon of the Day went to Jack Jeretik Ingram for some sharp fielding including a nice double play.
Demon Divas vs Cardinals
The ladies lost 2 - 9 in a tough game but there were some highlights for the day.

31/10/09 - GAME 1
Demons Men vs HV Marist
The men started with 10 players and got out to a early deficit and then with some strategic substitutions managed to score a few more runs but still not quite enough to take a win home from Game 1. Kevin scored the first Demons run of the season so too much big Kev. Our new recruit Jas took the pitchers mound like a pro and was very good throughout the game, good enough in fact to be named Demon of the Day. Jason is now Jestan
Demons Divas vs Te Aroha Red
After getting a late transfer due to filed conditions the ladies had a win by default to a no show Te Aroha team. No demon of the day awarded as no game was played.
21/03/09 - FINAL
The final was Demons vs Marist, we had beaten them once in the season and were hoping to do it again. We got out to an early lead and then let them back in with a few fielding errors. One hell of a gema was had and in the end we went down 4 -5 to Marist.
Demon of the Day went to Nick Nebiros Ingram.
21/03/09 - SEMI FINAL
The men took on Hutt City United Naenae and won 16 - 0 to progress to the final. Was a hell of a hiding and our first win over them in the season.
Demon of the Day went to Rob Ronove Boyd whom dominated with the bat and had many an out at 1st along with a heap of pop-up catches.
15/03/09 - GAME 14 from abandoned match
The Men caught up on the rain flagged match with Wainui Rugby and took the win 7 - 0.
Demon of the Day went to Dan McMahon who is now to be known as Dantalian.
Dantalian - One of the 72 Spirits of Solomon.
14/03/09 - GAME 16
The ladies played Wainui and took a beating going down 17 - 3. This ends the season for the ladies.
Demon of the Day went to Aroha Ariel Tanirau for batting well. Even though the ladies went down it was a huge improvement on the last game against Wainui where we lost 15 nil in 3 innings. The ladies all batted well and fielding was great. It showed how much we have progressed from those early games to now.
The men took on Marist and went down 15 - 1.
Demon of the Day's went to both Matt Mantus Dodd and Pereri Phenex Hathaway. Mantus was mean i nthe field pocketing 5 catches at centrefield and Phenex stepped up at 3rd base to peg some good outs over to 1st.
08/03/09 - GAME 13 from abandoned match
The ladies finally caught up on the rain flagged match with Stokes Valley and unfortunately went down 12 - 8.
Demon of the Day went to Angel Ngapera who is now to be known as Abaddon.
Abaddon - (Hebrew) Destroyer, Advisor. Said to be chief of demons. Sometimes regarded as the destroying angel.
07/03/09 - GAME 15
The ladies played Te Aroha and only just lost going down going down 7 - 6.
Demon of the Day went to Courtney Giles whom is now to be known as Cunali.
Cunali - One of the demons of the 8th hour of the Nuctemeron.
The men took on Hutt City United Naenae and went down 16 - 8. Was a hell of a hiding.

The ladies deffered to Tuesday night took a wholloping from Dodgers Divas going down 17 - 1.
Demon of the Day went to Karen Kobal Couch for great fielding including a few catches at Centre-field and for her strong batting.

Rain, rain and more rain, oh and a heap of wind managed to cancel the mens game this weekend.
21/02/09 - GAME 13
The Demon Ladies started off their game but it was abandoned as the pitchers area was too slick from the rain the night before.
The men played a double header this week, the first game against Marist was a very rusty effort from us and we lost 13 - 3.
the second game however we managed to pick up the batting performance and took out the win over Cardinals 11 - 2.
Demon of the Day awarded for the two games went to Danny Danel Bullen for a mighty mighty homerun out over left field against Cardinals.
14/02/09 - GAME 12
The Demon Ladies took down Hutt Valley Dodgers winning 16 - 12.
Demons of the day went to Allsion Alphonsus Heydon and Crystal whom is now to be known as Cresil.
The men played against Wainui again and this time they went down losing 6 - 7.
Demon of the Day was not awarded this week.
08/02/09 - GAME 11
The Demon Ladies smoked Celtic Lions, winning 19 - 4.
Demon of the Day went to Lisa Chui for her all round performance and great talking to the team, she is now to be known as Loki

The men played outstanding(well from at least what i saw once i woke up from the shade of the trees) beating Wainui Softball Club 9 - 6.
Demon of the Day went to Nick Nebiros Ingram for pitching a top game and also for the winning grandslam at the death when it was drawn up 5 all.
31/01/09 - GAME 10
The Demon Ladies stepped up and anilhilated Hutt City United, winning 24 - 5.
Demon of the Day went to Shiva with two grand slams at bat.
The men went down 4 - 7 losing to the Giants.
Demon of the Day went to Matt Dodd for his batting prowess.
Matt is now to be known as Mantus
24/01/09 - GAME 9
The Demon Ladies stepped up and smoked Dodgers Divas, winning 8 - 2.
Demon of the Day went to Karen whom was powerful with the bat and fantastic in the field with some good thrown outs.
Karen is now to be known as Kobal.
The men after a well deserved break came up and knocked off Marist with a 15 - 6 Victory.
Demon of the Day for his two homeruns, and even almost overtaking Ronove on one of them went to Elia "Eloah" Kyriacou.

13/12/08 - GAME 8
The Demon Ladies played fantastic and went out and smashed the Dodgers, winning 11 - 5.
Demon of the Day went to Shar for amazing pitching and great support to the team.
Shar is now to be known as Shiva.
The men had their first taste of the bigtime with a game on the Avalon Ballpark against Cardinals, whilst they were a bit touch and go as to whether they were going to be able to field a team the boys turned up and took the field. One hell of a game was endured and the boys played bloody well. Finally going down 3 - 2 to the Cardinals.
Demon of the Day went to Phil "Tunrida" Tanuvasa.
06/12/08 - GAME 7
What a fantastic weekend for softball, beautiful weather and some bloody good games.
The Demon Ladies took on a strong Dodgers Divas and made a great match of it going down by one run late in the game 10 - 9.
The ladies were fantastic and had a tie for Demon of the Day.
Both Annie and Shelly had absolute blinders and were deserved DoD's.
Annie is now to be known as Anini.
Shelly is now to be known as Shalbriri.
The men fronted up to a strong Wainui League team again and were outgunned by some amazing pitching from Johnny Lomax and then further humiliation from the second pitcher whom had some great heat up his sleeve. They went down 7 - 2.
Demon of the Day went to Malak whom made an appearance as a ringer all the way from Auckland. He had a fantastic homerun that really lifted the teams spirit and showed his power arm again from the outfield.
29/11/08 - GAME 6
The Demon Ladies got absolutely smashed by Stokes Valley last weekend, going down 15 - 0.
Demon of the Day went to Toops for stepping into an unfamiliar role in the infield and having a great game in that spot.
Toops is now to be known as Tezrian.
Finally the men managed to go out and have a win, the fielding was impeccable and this resulted in a 15 - 8 win over Wainui Rugby.
Demon of the Day went to cool hand Jack whom was outsanding at Second Base, had alot of fielding there and was the key to alot of outs.
Jack is now to be known as Jeretik.
22/11/08 - GAME 5
Well it was a tough game from the outset with the Wainui pitcher really steaming them in, we struggled with the bat and the ladies went down, 15 - 0.
Demon of the Day went to Katie for top fielding at short-stop and picking up some double outs.
Katie is now to be known as Kasdeya.
Well the men stood up for a local Derby with Totara Park, first couple of innings was 3 up 3 down for both teams, then the TP side managed to get a couple of good hits in and we went downhill from there. Cheers to those boys whom turned up, even with the late notice transfer. Men went down 10 - 0 to Totara Park.
Demon of the Day went to Danel, he drew the short straw and decided to try his hand at catcher, he did ok but did take a bit of a stinging ball from the mighty Rofocale when he took the mound. Looks like weve found a backup catcher!
15/11/08 - GAME 4
The Ladies had a entertaining game against Stokes Valley, Lamashtu pitched her heart out and smacked a fantastic homerun. Still with this effort the ladies went down, 23 - 3.
Demon of the Day went to Lamashtu.
The Fullas nearly had a default win but unfortunately the other team turned up and we lost again, 13 - 12. Was our best effort to date and it seems that the slow pitcher proved jsut as difficult as the quick ones with quite a few not being able to control the bat well enough.
Demon of the Day went to Danel, one big hit is all it takes and this huge one went and went and even Danel was able to run all the way home.
08/11/08 - GAME 3
The Ladies continue to lead the way with a great win over Cardinals 8 - 1.
Demon of the Day went to Glenda whom is now to be known as Astarte.
The men had a great day out also but didnt get the result they wanted, going down 11 - 8 to Wainui League. Demon of the Day went to Pereri whom now is the demon Phenex for his huge hitting and top effort in the outfield.

Well the season is underway and the Ladies have shown the way with a great win over Te Aroha 13 - 12.
Demon of the Day went to Lorraine Spackman whom is now to be known as Lamashtu.
The fellas were not so great at starting off and let in a few too many runs which they could not recover from, going down 3 - 9 to Hutt City United Bedrocks. Demon of the Day went to Rofocale for his fantastic team lifting speeches and some sharp pitching.
