Back in the 99-2000 Season Demons burst onto the Wellington Softball Scene - So this season will mark our 10th year here in Wellington so we are going to plan some way to commemorate this event.

A LITTLE CLUB WAITS

25 FEBRUARY 2009

With the Fun in the Sun Tournament nearing plus gear and such being required we thought we better get the next fundraiser underway. 

Housie / Bingo
Sunday 22 March, 1pm to 4pm 
Timberlea Communtiy Hall   

Standard Payouts will be $25.00 per house and $10.00 per line.
Every 5th game(5, 10, 15) will be $50 per house and $20 per line.
And the final game of the day(20) will be $80 per house and $20 per line. 

Okay all, there are a few aspects to the fundraiser that need your attention please in order for this to be a success so if you could please read and do your bits we’ll be able to raise some dosh for the club. 

$5  Bonus gifts as prizes  (these get drawn out at random during each of the 20 games for lucky ticket holders) 
We need 20 prizes worth around $5 each to give out.  Unwanted unused birthday or xmas presents make a great gift so what ever you can find (even a bottle of wine) would be great to receive.  Please bring them to any Saturday game.  I am sure between us all we could come up with 20 prizes easy. 

Grocery Raffle
We will also sell a grocery raffle at the housie so if everyone can donate 3 items of shopping to the raffle that would be great eg toilet paper, can of spaghetti, noodles – non perishables – that would be great.  Again, please bring them to any Saturday game.
 
Tickets @ $25
Once we get the date sorted we will need to sell 50 tickets.  It’s about two tickets each - some may not be able to sell two but that’s okay because others could end up selling more. 

Help on the day – 12noon to 5pm
 - need help setting up and making tea and coffee and handing out money
 - we each need to provide a plate for afternoon tea eg sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls
 - need help tidying up

The Garage Sale was a great success and we managed to make $670.00 in sales of our unwanted items, and we sold the leftovers for $100.00 to Aroha whanau for their garage sale.

So in total we made $770.00 for the Demons Softball Club. Huge thanks to all whom made this possible.

24 JANUARY 2009

We will be having our Demons Garage Sale at the Timberlea Hall, Norana Road, Timberlea. 7AM - 12PM.
If you have any items to drop off to add to the Garage Sale please drop to Danny and Aroha or to the Timberlea Hall from 6:30pm on Friday Night.

We will also have a sausage sizzle and cake stall so if you could bring some home baking to add to the sales that would be great.

It would be great if any of you could come and help on the Fri night or Saturday morning.
The Ladies will leave at 12pm to go to their game and the men will be tidying up before heading to their game.

Well the sausage sizzle at Maoribank Park went really well.
We managed to raise $156.00 profit in those few hours. Huge thanks to all whom helped out by buying the sausages and especially to those whom helped with the cooking and selling etc.
